Volunteers of Anant Jeevan continue to look for opportunities to get in touch with young children in need of nourishment and particularly in times of catastrophes.
At one such instance, in the Month of April 2014 our volunteers rushed to Vasant Kunj area in South Delhi where a massive fire broke out in the slum clusters gutting down 500 slums.
After extensively going through the area and meeting with the officials who were doing their best to handle the situation at hand, we were advised that the situation was under control and all necessary arrangement for food and water were taken care off. Wanting to do their bit, the Anant Jeevan volunteers probed more and kept looking for ways to help in any way possible. They noticed that children were lacking in nutritious foods and were forced to eat boiled vegetables and rice as the adults. Anant Jeevan decided to step in and help the children.
The team was able to collect food items and nutritious drinks for the children and were able to distribute the same among 350 children in the affected area for a few days. This was possible through the generous support of individuals and corporate.
Every month Volunteers from Anant Jeevan visit children in different places from economically weaker sections of society and look for opportunities to help children and young adults through counselling and providing relief in which ever form possible.
